| The Stephens County Foundation acquired the property commonly known as the "heritage site" or Estatoe Town Site from C.P. ("Billy") Hayes and his wife Carol. The Hayes' were living their farming dream on this beautiful bottomland which they called "Tugalo Bend Farm" when the Hartwell Reservoir project began. Tugalo Bend Farm was a casualty of Hartwell Reservoir. These pages commemorate their work and paint a picture of Tugaloo Corridor farming in the mid-20th century. Click anywhere on the "postcard" at right for a pictorial tour of the farm. The photos can be viewed by clicking on the "thumbnail" (small) image on the index pages to get a full-size image. They can be viewed in forward, backward, first, last, sequence by using the navigation icons above the photo. note: (these pages are under construction) |
